CM hands over job letters to 55 candidates for police force posting

In breaking news Uttarakhand, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has handed over job letters to 55 candidates to be absorbed in the State police department. Notably, a total of 1425 candidates have been absorbed as staffs of the State police department. Addressing the programme, the CM said that the recruitment process involving 1550 vacant posts of police constables will be started soon. He said that constable is the fulcrum of the police force. “I hope that the newly appointed constables will perform their duties with dedication and honesty,” he said. Applauding the role of the police force, he said that in hostile situations, be it Covid-19 or natural disaster, the State police force stands like a rock to serve the people of the State.

The CM further said that the State government is determined to transform the police force into a modern, smart one in accordance with the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also referred to the coming into force of the strict anti-copying law in the State to curb cheating in recruitment examinations. “This is ushering in a bright future for the honest students,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, the director general of police Uttarakhand Ashok Kumar said that this is the first constable recruitment in the State since 2016.  “Training will start for the new appointees from today itself. Aside from general training, they would be given technology-based training,” he said and added that recruitment process for 538 police personnel of different posts is now in progress.
