Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and hundreds of BJP leaders and workers gathered at the residence of Bharatiya Janata Party State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan in Dehradun to pay tribute to his late wife, Uma Chauhan.
Dhami met the bereaved family members and offered his condolences, comforting them during the difficult time. He placed flowers on the mortal remains of Uma Chauhan and prayed for the peace of her soul. Nishank also paid floral tribute and joined the funeral procession, urging the family to stay strong and fulfill the unaccomplished wishes of the departed soul.
Several prominent figures attended the last journey, including Dehradun mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, MLA Madan Kaushik, Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das, Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal, Kotdwar mayor Shailendra Rawat, along with a large number of journalists, party officials and BJP workers.
