One more dengue case reported in Dehradun

One new case of dengue was reported in the Dehradun district on Monday. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma informed that one dengue patient was hospitalised on Monday and is currently receiving treatment at Graphic Era Hospital. With this, the total number of confirmed dengue cases (ELISA-positive) so far has reached 45 in the district, which includes 26 patients from Dehradun and 19 patients from other districts or States.
He further informed that at present, there are 12 patients hospitalised- eight at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, two at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh and two at Graphic Era Hospital. He also added that 88 dengue samples were collected on Monday alone, contributing to an overall total of 2,825 samples collected to date. Notably, there have been no reported deaths due to dengue so far.
Additionally, on Monday, ASHAs and health department volunteers conducted a total of 6,222 house surveys to check for mosquito larvae. Out of these surveys, 24 houses were found to be positive for larvae. It is important to note that the department has conducted a total of 21,463 house surveys so far, out of which 66 houses have returned positive results.
