In latest Uttarakhand news, with accidents continuing unabated in the State, a man was killed as the dumper he was driving fell into a 50m deep gorge and another was critically injured. The mishap occurred near Harsil on Gangotri National Highway in Uttarkashi district late in night. Immediately on receiving the news, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team along with a police team reached the accident site and pulled out the two persons who were trapped in the dumper and rushed them to the Army Hospital in Harsil. Doctors declared one of them brought dead. The deceased was identified as Bharat Singh, resident of village Jhala in Uttarkashi district. The critically injured person is now being treated in the hospital.
