In latest news from Uttarakhand, in the 16th Inter School Taekwondo competition held in Mallital, Mohan Lal Sah Bal Vidya Mandir team secured the first position while St Mary’s Convent finished second. Students of participating schools displayed their skills in the competition.
Earlier, the Nainital District Taekwondo Association president C V S Bisht inaugurated the competition. Emphasising the importance of sports, he said that sports like Taekwondo promote self-confidence and discipline in students. In the closing ceremony, the senior social worker Saraswati Khetwal awarded the winner, saying that such competitions not only enhance physical ability but provide mental strength.
Among others present at the competition were the Nainital District Taekwondo Association’s vice- president Harish Nayal and secretary Sunil Thapa.
