The State’s director general of police Ashok Kumar has directed all the district in-charges that the hooter should not be used unnecessarily in police vehicles under normal circumstances. He said that it is being observed that hooter is being used unnecessarily in police vehicles during movement under normal circumstances or even on empty roads.
This is causing inconvenience to the general public while also generating noise pollution. Considering this, all the district in-charges of the police have been directed that hooter should not be used unnecessarily, said the DGP.
