PCC president Mahara appoints observers in all districts, Mahanagars for the campaign
Buoyed by the success of the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra being undertaken by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party has decided to take out ‘Hath Se Hath Jodo Abhiyan’ in different parts of the country from January 26. On Tuesday, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara appointed district and Mahanagar observers for the campaign in the State. These observers would remain in constant contact with the leaders and workers of the Congress party during the campaign and give inputs to the PCC.
Interacting with the media persons, the PCC president said that the campaign would cover all districts, Vidhan Sabha constituencies and blocks. The two-month long campaign would commence from January 26. He said that during the campaign, the Congress leaders and workers would visit villages and hold interaction with people on local, State and national issues. The issues such as increasing crimes against women, the Ankita Bhandari murder case and attempts to save the culprits, the ever increasing prices, rising unemployment, the recruitment scams in different departments, the backdoor appointments in the Vidhan Sabha and the poor economy of the State and the country would be discussed in the campaign.
On the backdoor appointments in the Vidhan Sabha secretariat and the recent statement of the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt that the Congress party should first take action against Govind Singh Kunjwal and Yashpal Arya, the PCC president said that Kunjwal had the moral courage to accept that he was wrong on the issue. He said that the BJP State president should have the courage to name the prominent leaders of BJP who were involved in backdoor appointments.
