The workers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) celebrated the victory of Shelly Oberoi in the election for the position of mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). The party workers bursted crackers and distributed sweets at the head office of the State unit of the party.
The convenor of the State unit of AAP Jot Singh Bisht said that the election of the Oberoi has defeated the agenda of the BJP which used every trick in the book to influence the election. He said that the election has also given a message that the leaders of AAP are not for sale. Bisht also congratulated the national convener of the party and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for the victory. The party leaders said that the malafide intentions of BJP were destroyed by the strategy of Kejriwal.
