The G-20 summit has begun on a warm and colourful note in Ramnagar and in the months of May and June, Narendra Nagar will host two summit. What is important is that the state government is leaving no stone unturned to use these summits to help Uttarakhand become a global destination. The special feature of this summit is that the Centre has been using it to showcase the diversity of this vast country instead of confining it within Delhi. Interestingly, in the initial stage of the planning for this summit, Uttarakhand got two meetings but later with the hard efforts of the state government and given the weakness of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the state, Uttarakhand has got three summits. The state government has provided a budget of Rs 100 crore for these summits.
