Earthquake tremor was felt in Uttarkashi district at 5.40 am on Thursday. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 3.0 and its epicentre was in Uttarkashi itself. The people in panic came out of their houses. However, no loss to life or property has been reported from anywhere. The Uttarkashi district magistrate Abhishek Ruhela said that he has asked the district disaster management department to collect information whether any damage has been done by the tremor. He further said that till then no report of damage has been received from anywhere. Earlier on March 5, earthquake tremor was felt across the district.
