U’khand conducive for industrial development: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State has a conducive environment for development of the industries and every possible effort is being made to encourage industries in the State. He pitched for regular dialogue with the people associated with the industrial sector for fast disposal of all the problems.
The CM was addressing the meeting of State level Udyog Mitra committee at Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar on Friday. He said that the State would soon hold ‘Investors Summit’ and its brand ambassadors are the industrialists of the State. Dhami said that the suggestions of the industrialists have been added in the Industrial policy of the State. He said that efforts are being made to hold such meetings in different parts of the State every six months.
Making an appeal to the industrial houses to provide cooperation to the State government under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund, the CM said that a cell has been constituted for this in the State. Informing about the efforts being made to develop industrial areas in the State, Dhami said that the encroachments would be removed from the SIIDCUL land and the height of the industrial buildings would be increased. He said that the relaxation in norms in the pollution category of industries is on the anvil. Dhami said that the royalty on soap stone has been reduced and the pine resin policy is being simplified. He said that power load on the old sub stations should be reviewed and they should be upgraded accordingly. He directed that there should be a separate feeder for the industrial units located in the rural areas. The Union minister of State for Defence and Tourism Ajay Bhatt said that the youngsters should move forward in the path of self employment. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has become the fifth largest economy of the world.
In the meeting many suggestions were given by the Udyog Mitras for development of industries in the State.
The meeting was attended by MLA Shiv Arora, mayor Rampal Singh, chief secretary SS Sandhu, additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretary R K Sudhanshu, secretaries R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagauli, Pankaj Pandey, Ranjit Sinha, Deependra Chaudhary, HC Semwal, Kumaon commissioner Deepak Rawat, director general of Information Banshidhar Tiwari and others were present on the occasion.
