Admission in govt universities & colleges to be done online through Samarth portal

To bring the State’s higher education completely on digital platform, the admissions in government-run universities and colleges will be done online through the Samarth portal. Every student will get the opportunity to apply online for admission in 10 colleges, said the State’s higher education minister Dhan Singh Rawat, adding that the admission process for the first semester for the new academic session will be started from May 25 and the formal classes will start from July 10. Rawat took a meeting of the higher education department in the Assembly hall.

Students will be able to register online from May 25 to June 24 through the common portal prepared by the higher education department for online admission.

After the applications are examined, the universities and colleges will release the merit list on July 1 and the students can take admission till July 9 and the formal session will be started from July 10. Rawat instructed the vice-chancellors of all State-run universities and directors of higher education to start the online admission process.
