In latest Uttarakhand news, the present BJP MLA and former State minister Bishan Singh Chufal has been asked to reply to the notice issued in the matter of encroachment of tea plantation land in violation of the ceiling rules. The Dehradun district additional collector approached the court on this matter. This aside, the court has issued notices to about 12 persons as regards encroachment of land and ordered them to be present in the court on June 24. Further, the court ordered the Tehsildar Sadar and the police station in-charges of Nehru Colony and Raipur to immediately stop all construction works going on the disputed lands. As per allegation, the ceiling land of a tea plantation based in Raipur area was bought in violation of the rules.
