In latest Uttarakhand news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently on his maiden state visit to US, took part in a private dinner with US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden in White House. During this time, the PM gave the couple a sandalwood box which contained ten gifts which included long- grained rice sourced from Uttarakhand. Observers say that this indicates the PM’s special attachment to Uttarakhand. Besides, this has imparted international identity to the long-grained rice produced in the mountainous State.
