NH to Yamunotri, many other roads remain blocked across State

A considerable number of roads have remained blocked in different parts of the State despite some relief from heavy rain on Sunday. According to the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), the Rishikesh-Yamunotri national highway is blocked by debris/boulders at Dabarkot and Kisala while one national highway, one State highway, one main district road, one other district road and 44 rural motor roads are blocked in the Uttarkashi district.
One State highway, one main district road and 12 rural motor roads are blocked in Tehri district, In the Chamoli district, the Karnprayag-Gairsain national highway is blocked to traffic due to washout near Kalimati. Two main district roads and 32 rural motor roads are reported to be blocked in the district. Eight rural motor roads are reported to be blocked in Almora district while in Nainital, two State highways and five rural motor roads were reported to be blocked. In the Rudraprayag district the Rishikesh-Kedarnath national highway and the Gaurikund-Kedarnath bridle path were open while 15 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked. In the Haridwar district, the level of water in the Ganga was 292.10 metres at 6 PM on Sunday, a few metres below the danger mark of 294 metres. One State highway and six rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in the district. Similarly, one state highway, one other district road and 47 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in Dehradun district while in Udham Singh Nagar district all the roads were reported to be open for traffic.
Seven rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in Bageshwar district while in Pauri district two State highways, two other district roads and 24 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked. In the Champawat district, 20 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked while one border road and 18 rural motor roads were reported to be blocked in Pithoragarh district.
