The president of Uttarakhand chapter of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS) Jeet Mani Painyuli has been elected unopposed to the position of vice president of Uttarakhand Secretariat association. He was the only one who had submitted his nomination papers for the post.
The election for the secretariat association will be held on July 31. For the prestigious post of president Deepak Joshi, Pradeep Papne and Sunil Kumar Lakheda are in fray. For the post of general secretary Kamal Kumar, Rajesh Joshi, Ranjana and Vimal Joshi are in the contest. The election officer Mastu Das said that the election will be held on July 31 from 10 am to 4 pm and the counting of votes will commence at 4.30 pm.
Meanwhile the candidates were seen visiting the offices and sections of the secretariat to seek votes on Tuesday.
