In latest Uttarakhand news, following the recent rejig in the police department, while the IPS officer Pramendra Dobhal assumed charge as the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Haridwar another IPS officer Rekha Yadav assumed charge as the superintendent of police, Chamoli.
Soon on taking charge, Dobhal held a law and order review meeting with the senior district police brass and staffers and asked all in the district police department to ensure that justice is imparted to the victims of crimes, particularly, the women/girls and children at the earliest. He sought cooperation from all the district police staff members in improving the law and order situation and bettering the response time regarding crimes against women/girls and children.
The newly appointed SP Chamoli Rekha Yadav stressed on putting a leash on crimes and criminals with the cooperation of the district police staffers and people. She further said that she would go the whole hog to eliminate the drug trafficking racket from the district, root and branch.
