PM Vishwakarma scheme to be launched on PM Modi’s birthday today

The central sector scheme- PM Vishwakarma scheme will be launched on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on Sunday. The Union minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Kapil Moreshwar Patil will be present at the function in Dehradun.

The PM will virtually launch the scheme. According to sources, the new scheme intends to provide recognition and holistic support to the traditional artisans and craftsmen working with their hands and elementary tools, so as to improve the quality, scale and reach of their products and also to integrate them with MSME value chains. Apart from this, the Bharatiya Janata Party will organise special prayers for the PM by beneficiaries of Central and State government schemes in all the 2,799 Shakti Kendras in the State. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan informed that this ambitious scheme will prove to be a gamechanger for artisans and craftsmen involved in various trades. Crores of such citizens will get loans and necessary skills to enhance their business under this scheme. This will improve their livelihood on the one hand and on the other hand it will further enrich the various traditional and cultural heritage of the nation, he said.

The main programme in the State will be held at the Himalayan Cultural Centre in Dehradun. The Prime Minister will virtually inaugurate the scheme and also express his views on the occasion.  The Union minister of State for Panchayati Raj will be the chief guest in the event. MPs Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, Naresh Bansal, Kalpana Saini, Anil Baluni along with cabinet ministers Subodh Uniyal, Prem Chand Agarwal and Ganesh Joshi will also be present on the occasion which will also be attended by various other public representatives. Chauhan further informed that the address of PM Modi after the launch of the scheme will also be heard in all the district centres of the State.  The aim of the BJP is to ensure that the benefit of this scheme reaches as many intended beneficiaries as possible.
