Health campaign being organised under Seva Pakhwada: Rawat

In latest news from Dehradun, the Ayushman Seva Pakhwada has commenced, marking the birthday of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sharing details of the campaign, the State health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that free of cost pathological investigations are being done at the community health centres and health and wellness centres across the State and would continue till October 2. The tests being done under the programme involve non-infectious diseases like hypertension, diabetes, breast cancer, cervical cancer and tuberculosis. At the same time, Ayushman cards and Asha IDs are being prepared. The minister further said that under this campaign, 10 blood donation camps are being conducted in each of the Assembly constituencies, adding that the health department has set a target of enrolling two lakh people, including those aged over 18 years, in e Rakt Kosh. Further, organ donation pledges are being registered under the campaign. Rawat informed that on the first day of the campaign, 107 camps were organised and 4739 persons were registered for blood donation with 1767 persons having donated blood.
