Shri Venkateshwara School of Nursing, Glorious International Nursing Research and Academic Foundation (GINRAF) and Parul University jointly hosted a two-day national workshop on newborn care and labour management recently. It was inaugurated by the chairman of the Venkateshwara Group of Institutions Sudhir Giri, the university’s pro vice-chancellor Rajeev Tyagi, secretary of GINRAF Swapnil Rahane and faculty member of SGT University Lisa Chadha among others.
The organisers of the workshop said that the teachers and students of several universities and nursing colleges from across the country participated in the workshop. In his inaugural address, Giri said that no other profession is as noble as nursing while Rahane said that the nurses play a key role in taking care of women before delivery and of the newborn after delivery. Chadha spoke about the critical role the nursing staffers play in giving nursing care to the babies delivered through C-section and also to the mothers.
