A group of 25 students belonging to Hanu Aryan valley of Ladakh visited Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) here on Friday. The students are on a national integration tour being organised by ‘Forever in Operations’ division of the Indian Army. The objective of the tour is to broaden their horizons by showcasing various facets of India to gain firsthand experience of varied culture, traditions, development, technological and economical advancements across the nation.
A motivational and educational movie on the history and background of the valour and wisdom of the armed forced was also screened in the auditorium of IMA for the visiting students. They also witnessed the training of cadets and held interaction with frontline troops that was organised in an operational unit.
“The tour included interaction of children with all ranks to educate and motivate them towards better career avenues in the armed forces. During the interaction, they were motivated towards national integration and were advised to contribute towards nation building. The youth and their teachers expressed their gratitude to the Indian army for giving them an insight to the rich tradition and career avenues in the armed forces,’’ said a communiqué from the army.
