Rain & snowfall forecast in five mountainous districts
Doon also likely to witness light rain & thunderstorm today

The weather in the State is likely to take a turn on Monday. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/hail likely to occur at isolated places in the mountainous areas of the State today. The meteorological centre has also forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at a few places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts and at isolated places in the remaining districts of the State on Monday. Further, snowfall is likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Very light to light rain/thunderstorm are likely to occur from afternoon onwards. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 26 degrees Celsius and 11.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 27.8 degrees Celsius and 10.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.2 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.9 degrees Celsius and eight degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
