Cooking gas refilling to be made easy in mountain areas

In latest news from Dehradun, to address the cooking gas refilling problem being faced by the people living in the mountainous areas, the rural development department of the State government has launched Eandhan Sakhi scheme under which mini gas agencies to be run by the women associated with self-help groups will be set up. The scheme has been launched as pilot project in four districts of the State. Sharing details, the State additional secretary Anand Swaroop said that this scheme is meant to meet two objectives- to increase the income of the self-help group connected women and solve the cooking gas refilling problem being faced by the people of the remote villages. Though it has been launched in four districts as pilot project it will be launched in all the districts in the coming days, he said.
