Those looking forward to a boost in the tourism business due to snowfall ahead of Christmas may be disappointed as the State meteorological centre has forecast dry weather in the State on Sunday. Light rain and snowfall was witnessed in the mountainous areas and higher reaches of the State recently but clearer weather is expected on Sunday.
The meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather will prevail in the State’s districts today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 25.2 degrees Celsius and 8.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 25.5 degrees Celsius and 6.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 16 degrees Celsius and 5.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.4 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
