250 party members from U’khand to attend BJP national council meeting

Two hundred and fifty Bharatiya Janata Party representatives from Uttarakhand will attend the party’s national council meeting to be held in Delhi. The central leadership of the BJP will discuss the preparations of the party for the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Interacting with media persons here on Tuesday, the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the central leadership of the party will talk about the strategy of the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections in the meeting of the party’s national council to be held on February 17-18. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda, Home minister Amit Shah and other senior party leaders will provide guidance to the party leaders in the meeting.

Bhatt said that all the State units of the party will work to implement the strategy finalised in the national council meeting down to the booth level. The party office bearers and workers from the State to the Panna level will share detailed information with the public. The first day of the two-day national council meeting will have the meeting of the national office bearers of the party. All the members of the national council will hold a meeting on the second day of the deliberations, Bhatt said.

The BJP State president said that the Central and State governments are doing excellent work. Considering this, there is substantial excitement in the party regarding the meeting. Referring to the recent political developments in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, Bhatt said that the opposition is disappearing from the nation. The collapse of the INDIA bloc in Uttar Pradesh and the former chief minister of Maharashtra joining the BJP point towards this, he said.

Regarding the Gairsain Assembly session, Bhatt said that the session is for the supplementary budget and the BJP will accept whatever decision the Vidhan Sabha speaker and the government take. Some MLAs may have their personal opinions regarding the Vidhan Sabha session but it is the speaker and the CM who have to decide where the session will be held. The BJP is prepared for wherever the Vidhan Sabha session is held, the party’s State president added.
