The Uttarakhand Congress has requested the Shankaracharyas and other religious heads to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top leadership of BJP on receiving donations in the form of electoral bonds from the companies dealing in the business of beef .
The Vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Suryakant Dhasmana said that he has requested the four Shankaracharyas to ask PM Modi and BJP as to why the sin of accepting donation from these companies was done by them.
Dhasmana said that the cow is worshipped in Hinduism and it is believed that 33 crore gods and goddesses reside in its body. He said that the information about being the receiver of political donations from the beef companies was given by the State Bank of India (SBI) on the order of the Supreme Court (SC) on electoral bonds. He said that it is unfortunate that the BJP which seeks votes in the name of cow, Ram and Sanatan dharma has taken donations from such companies. The act of BJP has hurt the sentiments of the followers of Hinduism in the entire world. Dhasmana said that the four Shankaracharyas and the saints such as Gopalmani ji can seek explanation from BJP on this act.
