The international health experts warned that the Bird Flu virus could trigger a global pandemic deadlier than Covid-19, even 100 times worse than the latter and in case it happens half of those infected would die on the basis of a research recently conducted on the H5N1 virus. The experts are all the more worried as this virus is capable of infecting several types of mammals aside from humans. They called for adequate preparations in advance to combat the virus.
Notably, as per the World Health Organisation records, after 2003, 53 per cent of the H5N1 infected died while the casualty rate for Covid-19 was 01 per cent.
