A faculty development programme on the roles of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC ) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in ensuring educational quality was organised by Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Jolly Grant on Saturday.
The online faculty development programme was organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. In the programme the participants understood the importance of the new metrics of the NAAC and NBA.
NITTTR representative, SS Patnaik discussed the significance of NAAC and NBA, and the process of preparing and mapping specific outcomes, along with a discussion on NAAC assessments. Rakesh Vats conducted a workshop on preparing and mapping course outcomes. Balwinder discussed achievements and rubrics while Manisha Malik provided information on the use of AR/VR and interactive videos in education.
In the programme, the experts answered questions from participants. Thirty-five faculty members from engineering, management, yoga science, pharmacy, biosciences, nursing, and medical colleges participated in the programme.
