NULM starts entrepreneurship development training programme for SHGs

The National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) under the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) started a 13-day entrepreneurship training development programme for women self-help groups and regional level association members on Wednesday. Under this programme, the SHGs and associated members will be given training in making jute bags from July 24 to August 5, the official said. They informed that the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI) has started providing the training to SHGs and associated members in the community hall of Garhwali Colony in Dehradun.
The training programme was inaugurated by the assistant municipal commissioner of MCD Shanti Prasad Joshi and director of RSETI, OP Panwar by lighting a lamp. Panwar said on the occasion that the training of making jute bags will strengthen the economy of the women trainees by helping them in getting employment opportunities.The officials also asked the women trainees to be regular during the 13-day training to learn the skill efficiently which can potentially make drastic changes in their lives.
