KU hosts a program on India’s eventful space journey

The department of Physics at the DSB campus of Kumaun University organised a special programme on space journey of India. Addressing it, the KU’s vice- chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat said that with India having achieved sterling success in mission space, the country is getting accurate information on the vagaries of weather from it. Besides, Chandrayaan-3 has imparted to the space mission a new zest and dimensions.
A play was presented by the students of MSc 3rd semester Physics which depicted various space missions launched by ISRO. The research students of Physics, Charita Pant and Asha highlighted the role of Indian women in space journey and Aditya L1. It was followed by a speech competition in which Shweta Pant BSc 5th semester, Diksha Pandey BSc 5th semester and Rahul Karmayal BSc 3rd semester secured first, second and third positions respectively.
