‘Minimum terrorism maximum tourism’ under PM Modi in Jammu & Kashmir: Dhami
CM Dhami holds road show, addresses public meeting in Sambha of J&K

Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled the dream of ‘Ek Desh, Ek Vidhan and Ek Nishan’ of Shayama Prasad Mukerjee. He said that before the abrogation of article 370 of constitution the terrorist and stone pelters were dominant in Kashmir but now there is ‘minimum terrorism and maximum tourism’ in Kashmir.
The Uttarakhand CM was addressing a public meeting in support of the BJP candidate Surjit Singh Salathia at Sambha in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. He said that in the past whenever BJP raised its voice against article 370 it was opposed by others but on August 5, 2019 the historic decision to abolish the article was taken.
The incidents of stone pelting which were earlier very common have stopped now. Dhami said that the ensuing assembly election will be historic for the first time the people of Jammu and Kashmir will vote as per the constitution of Dr BR Ambedkar and not under two flags and two constitutions.
Dhami said that earlier only 10 per cent people used to participate in elections in Jammu and Kashmir but in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, the voting percentage increased to 58.
He said that a new avenue for development in Jammu and Kashmir has opened under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Works in the field of education, health, connectivity and strengthening infrastructure have been done. The CM said that work on many hydropower projects worth Rs 25,000 Crore is underway.
He added that employment to 30,000 youths has been given since 2019 and foreign investment to the tune of Rs 70,000 crore has occurred.
The CM said that more than five lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance to Baba Amarnath. He said that in New Kashmir the Indian tricolor proudly flutters at Lal Chowk in Srinagar.
Dhami said that the leaders of Congress, National Conference and PDP are advocating opening of trade and talks with Pakistan. He appealed to the people to vote for the BJP candidate in the assembly elections.
The national general secretary Tarun Chug, BJP candidate Salathia and others were present on the occasion.
