The chairperson of the State Health Authority (SHA), A S Hyanki has said that the Ayushman Bharat scheme is associated with human health and officers should keep the humane aspect in priority while discharging their duties. He was addressing a programme organized on the sixth anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya scheme here on Monday.
He said that awareness is needed in the general public for better implementation of the scheme in the State.
Hyanki said that the beneficiaries should treat the money spent in their treatment of their own and not of the government. This will make them alert on the cases of misuse of the money in the scheme.
The SHA chairperson highlighted the need of increasing network and accessibility of the scheme and averred that it is the collective responsibility of everyone to ensure that the benefit of schemes reaches out to the general public.
He suggested that health camps in rural areas and taking help of Asha and Anganwadi workers can help in propagating the scheme.
