CM Dhami, PCC president Mahara & others pay homage to former CM Tiwari

Glowing tributes were paid to former chief minister of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh Narayan Dutt Tiwari by the leaders of all political parties on his death anniversary on Friday. Incidentally the birth and death anniversary of Tiwari is on the same date.
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered floral tributes to the picture of Tiwari at his residence on the day. Dhami said that Tiwari played an important role in leading the state on the path of industrial progress. The developmental work done by him will always be a source of inspiration for us, he said.
In a statement the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that Tiwari laid the foundation of a strong Uttarakhand. He said that during the chief ministerial tenure of Tiwari the structure of all the departments was set up and the annual plan of the State increased from Rs 900 crore to Rs 5,000 crore. He said that Tiwari played a key role in developing industrial areas which helped in providing employment to youngsters. Mahara said that Tiwari was also instrumental in making Uttarakhand self-reliant in the field of power generation.
The Uttarakhand Congress also organized a programme at Rajiv Bhawan to pay homage to the departed leader. Speaking on the occasion, the vice president of State Congress Mathura Dutt Joshi said that everyone should take inspiration from the life and ideals of Tiwari. The president of Mahanagar Congress Jaswinder Singh Gogi said that people of Uttarakhand will always remember Tiwari for laying the foundation of a strong State.
