The Bharatiya Janata Party has stated that the process for bringing out a strict land law is being expedited. Stating that the opposition should neither be confused nor spread confusion, the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the district magistrates of five districts had submitted their report regarding land deals in violation of rules to the State administration.
He said that on chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s directions, the chief secretary Radha Raturi had sought a report on land deals from all the district magistrates. The lands transacted in violation of rules or against the provisions will be vested in the government. The government has made this clear and the chief minister has already announced that the land law will be brought in the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha. The reports from the other districts will also be received by the State administration soon, he said. “The Congress needs to exercise patience. The current attitude of the Congress was exhibited even during decisions on issues like the recruitment scam, Uniform Civil Code, land Jihad and love Jihad. When the BJP government talked of bringing a new land in the interests of the State and its people, it was the Congress which first expressed its discomfort. The Congress remained silent till now on an issue as important as the land law but is now making a show of support. In the interests of the public, the Congress should have adopted a constructive attitude and given its suggestions. The sudden activity and discomfort of the Congress on the issue of land law is motivated by politics,” Chauhan said, while adding that Dhami has so far fulfilled all the promises he had made to the public.
