Chief Minister has said that Sanatan culture is not merely a method of worship but is a way of life in which the idea of welfare of every living being is inherent. He said that our culture is based on the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and the organization of Kumbh is also a symbol of this ideology.
Dhami was virtually addressing the closing ceremony of the 3rd Kumbh Conclave held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
He said conclave is an effective platform to present the values of Indian Sanatan culture, civilization and spirituality at the global level. Dhami said that Prayagraj is also a confluence of our Sanatan culture, faith and spiritual traditions. “A bath in Kumbh provides spiritual, ideological and mental purity to the person along with liberation from sins. Here lakhs of people from the country and abroad take a dip in the confluence without any discrimination and attain spiritual peace. Through the Kumbh Mela, we also pass on our rich cultural heritage to future generations,’’ he said.
The CM said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a new ecosystem is getting developed with focus on development and protecting heritage.
Many historical works like reconstruction of Kedarnath, Badrinath Dham, construction of a grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath corridor, development of Mahakal corridor and giving international recognition to yoga and getting Kumbh the status of UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage have been done under the leadership of PM Modi.
He added that concrete steps have been taken towards the development of pilgrimage sites in the country. Dhami said that Sanatan culture is being promoted under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that events like Kumbh help us connect with our roots and also inspire us for positive change in the society.
