One dead, four hurt after jeep falls off road

One person died and four were injured when the jeep they were travelling in fell into a ravine near the Mohaan factory here early on Saturday morning. According to officials, the jeep was being driven from Delhi to Chaukhutiya when the mishap occurred. The four persons injured in the mishap are being treated at the hospital in Ramnagar.
Native of Bhailta village in Chaukhutiya, Puran Singh works in Delhi. His mother expired on Friday. Singh and his brother Bhopal Singh, Bhupendra Singh and Anand Singh left for their village following the demise of Singh’s mother. They boarded Chaukhutiya resident Bhim Singh’s Bolero in Delhi and reached Ramnagar at 1:30 AM.
According to sources, the driver was trying to overtake a vehicle at Kafalgadi Nala near Mohaan at 4 AM when the vehicle fell 50 metres down the ravine. The police reached the site on being informed and transported all the men to the hospital in Ramnagar. The driver Bhim Singh died at the hospital while the four injured men are undergoing treatment.
