The Uttarakhand BJP has termed the commencement of winter Char Dham Yatra as a major achievement of the Uttarakhand government. The State media in-charge of BJP, Manvir Singh Chauhan told mediapersons on Wednesday that the winter Char Dham Yatra will prove to be a major milestone for the economy of the State.
He said that the BJP government has decided to provide 25 per cent rebate in the tariff to the pilgrims at the hotels of GMVN to the pilgrims and the infrastructure development plans at the winter abodes of Char Dhams are the laudable steps of the State government. The BJP leader said the idea of organizing the Char Dhan Yatra throughout the year is very old but no government made efforts to start winter Yatra in right-earnest. He said that the Pushkar Singh Dhami government made efforts in this direction due to which the dream of the people of the State is being fulfilled.
Chauhan said that the Dhami government has succeeded in its endeavor due to accessibility of routes, better facilities for the pilgrims and qualitative improvement in the arrangements. He said that it is a matter of great pleasure that the pilgrims will be able to pay their obeisance to the Char Dham deities throughout the year.
Chauhan said that under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi historic changes in the infrastructure of the State have occurred and most important of them is the All weather road which makes the Yatra easy, safe and accessible throughout the year.
