Winter in limbo- no rain or snow while temperatures fluctuate

The weather in Uttarakhand has remained dry with temperatures fluctuating in various places. The temperatures have continued to remain below normal in some places while remaining above normal in other places.

The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that dry weather will prevail in the State on Monday. The provisional State capital Dehradun will witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and five degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Sunday were 22.3 degrees Celsius and 4.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 24 degrees Celsius and 5.3 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21 degrees Celsius and 6.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 20.6 degrees Celsius and 7.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature in Dehradun was one degree Celsius above normal while the minimum was three degrees below normal. The maximum was a degree above normal and the minimum was a degree below normal in Pantnagar while in Mukteshwar, the maximum was seven degrees above normal and the minimum was three degrees above normal. The maximum temperature was four degrees above normal and the minimum was three degrees above normal in New Tehri.
