A 2-day national- level conference commencing on Dec-24

A two-day national-level conference on the topic of Indian traditional knowledge and thought: political ecology perspective is set to be organised in Nainital on December 24 and 25 under the joint aegis of Uttarakhand Political Science Council, Indian Political Science Council and UGC-Malviya Mission Teacher Training (UGC-MMTTC) Centre, Kumaun University, Nainital.
The State higher education minister Dhan Singh Rawat will be the chief guest while the KU vice-chancellor Diwan S Rawat will preside over it.
The president of Uttarakhand Political Science Council and professor of HNB Garhwal Central University, Srinagar M M Semwal said that the special guests in the inaugural session of this conference would be the president of Indian Political Science Council Prof Manoj Dixit (vice- chancellor, Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, Rajasthan), Prof K N Jena (vice- chancellor, Sparsh Himalayan University, Dehradun) and Prof Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (former vice-chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar.
The director, UGC MMTTC Kumaun University, Nainital Prof Divya Joshi said that over 100 professors from various universities across the country are participating in this conference. The organising secretary of the conference Ritesh Sah said that apart from the plenary session, five parallel sessions would be organised during this two-day conference. Besides, selected research papers will also be published.
