Removed contractual teachers to be re-employed

The Technical Education Department would re-employ the contractual teachers of polytechnic colleges, who were removed after the end of their contract.

The state minister for higher education Dhan Singh Rawat today gave orders for the reinstatement of these teachers who were earlier working on contract or through the outsourcing agencies. He said that the department is having shortage of teachers and the teachers who were earlier removed would be deployed in the vacant posts on the basis of their qualification.

The minister gave these orders while undertaking a review meeting of the technical education department at his Vidhan Sabha office on Saturday. He said that construction work on the buildings of the Srinagar and Thalisain ITI colleges should start soon. He also directed that the buildings of the Pabo and Bungidhar colleges should be inaugurated without delay. In the meeting, the department officials informed the minister that DPR of the buildings of ITI colleges in Srinagar and Thalisain has been prepared and the construction work would soon commence after the approval of the DPR. The state administration has already approved the plan for construction of these buildings. They further informed that buildings of Thalisain and Bungidhar ITI are complete and they would be soon inaugurated. The training in these buildings would commence before March 2021.

The meeting was attended by Additional secretary technical education Jharna Kamthan, Director Skill development R Rajesh Kumar, Director technical education Hari Singh, Project Manager, Uttar Pradesh Rajkeeya Nirman Nigam (UPRNN) Limited S K Mallik, Project manager Peyajal Nigam Srinagar P K Agarwal.
