Takes the officers to the task for attending the meeting of the Gairsain Development Council unprepared.
The speaker Premchand Agarwal has said that all development works in Gairsain should be done strictly as per the norms and should be completed on time. He gave these orders while undertaking a meeting of Gairsain Development Council (GDC) at Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday.
The speaker who also is the chairman of the GDC said that the development works of more than five lakhs should be officially inaugurated so that the general public is well aware about the development activities in Gairsain. The speaker also expressed his displeasure on the absence of some officers from the meeting and took exception on lack of knowledge amongst them about the meeting. On a terse note he said that the officers should take the meeting of the GDC seriously and should come prepared for it. The officials made a presentation on the projects which have been completed.
The speaker directed the officers to coordinate with the local representatives while executing development works. Later taking to the media persons, the speaker said that a total of 71 projects were earlier approved in Gairsain and Chaukhutia blocks and out of them 64 are already completed. He informed that second installment for the remaining seven projects was released in the meeting of GDC. These include work on construction of stadium in Gairsain, construction of toilets and changing rooms in the sports stadium in Adi Badri and others. The speaker further informed that in the meeting of GDC held on February 17, a total of 30 projects of Rs 3.44 Crore were approved for Gairsain block while for Chaukhutia block 45 projects worth Rs 2.28 Crore were approved. It is pertinent to mention here that the Trivendra Singh Rawat government had set up the GDC for planned development of Gairsain after making it the summer capital of the state last year.
The in the meeting of GDC held on Wednesday the Dwarahat MLA Mahesh Negi, Secretary PWD R K Sudhanshu, Block Pramukh Kiran Bisht, President of Nagar Panchayat Puskar Singh Rawat, Superintending Engineer (SE) of PWD, Mukesh Parmar, CDO Hansa Dutt Pandey and others.
