UPNL employees to stop emergency services from today
Strongly opposing the State Government’s decision to terminate the services of UPNL employees taking part in the protest, the Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Nigam Limited Employees Union has decided to stop emergency services in the prominent government departments from Friday. One of the representatives of the union, Mahesh Bhatt said that instead of initiating a dialogue with the union, the government has instructed various departments to terminate services of those UPNL employees who are participating in the protest.
The president of the union, Kushagra Joshi further informed that the union has decided to stop providing emergency services in all the prominent departments that mainly include the Health department, Peyjal Nigam, Municipal corporations and the Transport department to intensify their agitation. He further disclosed that the union has also postponed the plan to gherao Secretariat on Friday as Dehradun district administration has denied the permission to the protestors. However, Joshi stated that if the government will continue to ignore their genuine demands, they will soon start a hunger strike.
