Ladakh Sarpanchs learn about Help desk, e office
The visiting group of Panchayat representatives of Ladakh understood the functioning of the newly set up ‘Help desk’ system in the Panchayati Raj directorate on Thursday. The group consisting of 38 Sarpanchs (heads of village Panchayats) of Leh and Kargil districts of union territory (UT) of Ladakh also visited the newly created command and control centre and E- office in the directorate on the day. The group of Sarpanchs is on an exposure cum training programme in the state.
The visiting delegation also visited Kedarwala village panchayat in Vikasnagar block of district Dehradun on the day. Here the village Pradhan Tabassum Imran welcomed the group and explained the functioning of the village panchayat to them. She also informed about the website of the panchayat to the visiting team. The Sarpanchs also visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dhakrani. Here the officer in charge, A K Verma informed about new techniques in the farming of onion and plantation of Litchi.
