In a departure of sorts, the Uttarakhand assembly has decided to conduct business on Saturday (March 6) and Sunday (March 7) this year. The house normally doesn’t function on these days. The parliamentary affairs minister Madan Kaushik told the house that the business advisory committee of the house has resolved that the assembly should function for two days on March 6 and 7. The budget would be passed on March 6. The speaker tabled the resolution which was endorsed by the house.
It is expected that the budget session of the assembly which earlier was slated to function till March 10 would be adjourned on March 7.
