Dehradun Police nabs Premnagar killer within 24 hours

The police have nabbed a killer and his companion for the murder of a man in the Premnagar area within 24 hours. The cousin of the deceased Sagar filed a complaint in Premnagar police station that two unknown men who were on a bike had shot his cousin Rahul three times on late Friday night and fled from the scene.
The police informed that Rahul died during the treatment. After filing the case against two accused, the police started searching for them and nabbed 31 years old Manjeet Goliya and 21 years old Himanshu Kumar on Saturday near Manduwala. The police revealed that Goliya is a resident of Sonipat in Haryana and Kumar is from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. Goliya has also been jailed before for robbery in the Premnagar area and many charges are filed against him in Haryana too, informed the police.
The accused Goliya revealed during the investigation that the deceased had insulted him, attacked him and severely injured him during a fight on October 3. Since then the accused was looking for a chance to take revenge on the deceased, informed the police. The police stated that the accused said that he saw the deceased sitting near the Post Office colony in Premnagar on Friday night around 10:15 pm when he was passing through the area on the bike with his friend Himanshu.
Both the accused called the deceased near and Goliya shot him thrice and both ran away, added police. The accused informed that they were trying to flee the city when the police nabbed them. The police stated that the accused will be presented in court soon.
