The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will end Raid Raj to provide a safe ambiance for businessmen if it wins 2022 Uttarakhand assembly elections. AAP leader and Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said this during his interaction with local businessmen in the Devbhoomi Business Dialogue event organised by the party in Rudrapur on Sunday. Sisodia, who is also Delhi’s finance minister, said that condition of businessmen and industrialists has deteriorated in over two decades and the governments here have only used them as a means of collecting funds rather than taking businessmen-friendly decisions. He asserted that AAP’s government will provide relief to the businessmen from the Raid Raj under which tax inspectors raid business premises as per their own will which puts unnecessary pressure on businessmen and often leads to their exploitation and corruption. He said, “We took such initiatives in Delhi which has eliminated the unnecessary fear exerted by officials among the businessmen.
The businessmen will also not have to go to different government offices for different types of paperwork as the employee of the department concerned will come at the doorstep to carry out such works.”Sisodia asserted that Uttarakhand has sufficient resources that can do wonders for public in every filed if used wisely with right intentions. He said, “People of Delhi have forgotten about BJP and Congress since they elected AAP. Give us a chance and people here will forget about them too.” Sisodia’s four-day tour to Kumaon region ended on Sunday and he returned to Delhi in the evening.
