The Delhi chief minister and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that putting an end to corruption will be the priority of the party if it wins the Assembly elections. He said that AAP’s government would also get the state out of the debt besides increasing the state’s budget to Rs one lakh crore. Kejriwal stated this while addressing mediapersons in a Press conference in Haridwar along with chief ministerial candidate of the party Ajay Kothiyal.
He said that BJP and Congress have been looting and destroying the state for the past 21 years and nothing will change here if people give another five years to such parties. He said, “These parties would once again fill their coffers after winning the elections. AAP is the only alternative for people here that will honestly work for them. Kothiyal and I do not understand politics but we know how to work with clear intentions.”
Though Kejriwal did not release the AAP manifesto on Monday, he provided a 10-point agenda while adding that it is just a brief of the manifesto but it would be soon released by Kothiyal. Presenting the points of the agenda, he said that elimination of corruption would be the first priority of AAP after winning the elections. He said that 300 units of free electricity for 24 hours will be provided to all. He said that the next focus would be on employment and migration issues. “The AAP government will give reservations to the youth in private and government jobs. An amount of Rs 1,000 will also be transferred to the bank account of women aged above 18 years every month. Besides this, ex-servicemen will be given reservation in government jobs.
The government will also seek their cooperation in the redevelopment of the state. It will also give Samman Rashi of Rs one crore to the families of each martyr of the army, police and paramilitary force of the state,” stated Kejriwal. He said that the education and health system will also be improved across the state like in Delhi. “Our government will also work on making Uttarakhand a spiritual capital of Hindus which will possibly generate thousands of employment opportunities,” said the Delhi CM.
