Even as the race among the probable candidates for the post of CM of Uttarakhand continues, the political circles are abuzz with the opinion that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can adopt the Gujarat model in Uttarakhand in the selection of council of ministers. It is speculated that apart from two or three old faces, the BJP can induct new faces in the cabinet to give it a fresh look. The presence of the senior leaders of Uttarakhand in Delhi is also being seen as an attempt by different factions to get their men inducted in the cabinet. The former speaker Prem Chand Agarwal, Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, Dhanaulti MLA Pritam Panwar, Sitarganj MLA Saurabh Bahuguna, Kotdwar MLA Ritu Khanduri and Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra are some of the new faces who can find a place in cabinet.
