A father and his four-year old son were rescued by the police and flood post employees after the duo got stranded in the seasonal river Mohannad Rao in the Buggawala area on Saturday. Gayoor of Telpura village had gone with his son Salman to the farm. While returning from the farm, they got stuck on a temporary island in the middle of the river as the waters rose and the current became stronger following consistent rainfall.
Seeing the duo stranded, the villagers informed the Telpura flood post. The police station officer of Buggawala, PD Bhatt along with flood post in-charge Ashu Giri and others reached the site on being informed about the situation. The police and flood post personnel managed to rescue the father and son using ropes. The police have appealed to the public to remain alert during the rains.
