The Passenger Amenities Committee (PAC) inspected railway stations in Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Haridwar on Thursday. The PAC chairman PK Krishnadas along with other committee members examined various facilities which facilitates the journey of passengers like food stalls at stations, restrooms, CCTV monitoring rooms, toilets at all platforms, booking offices, unreserved and reserved ticket sales counters, catering stalls, cleanliness arrangements in stations and platforms among other facilities in the railway stations. The committee members also interacted with passengers of a train at Haridwar railway station and to get feedback on the quality of railways’ facilities in the station as well as in trains. A meeting was also held to discuss the priority of passengers’ amenities and ways to improve them. The additional divisional railway manager Rakesh Singh and senior divisional commercial manager Sudhir Singh among other officials were also present in the meeting.
